Aimersoft iPad Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. It was designed to help you convert your video files so that you can play them on your iPad. The supported output formats are: MOV, M4V, MPEG-4, and H.264 for video and MP3, M4A, and WAV for audio. Converting your video files to audio helps you discard the video and keep an audio-only file.
The application has an OK-looking interface. It has a built-in video player for video previews and the conversion profiles and format settings are at the bottom of the screen. The interface doesn't look innovative at all but I have grown accustomed to converter interfaces looking the same.
This converter comes with a few video editing features. For example, you can crop and trim your videos and touch up their brightness, contrast, etc. The trial version allows you to test those features once you load a file.
In my testing, I converted a sample MKV file into a MOV file. I went to the settings to make sure that the resolution was kept, but I got an error when I tried to exit the settings window saying that I had to set the FPS, and it was already set. So I cancelled out of the window. And indeed, the file's resolution wasn't kept. The output file had a resolution of 320x240, which is unacceptable. I tried a different file, and I didn't want to mess with FPS values, but the same error appeared.
